Last Meals Of Executed Innocent Men

Today is an important day in Puerto Rico. After 2 days of deliberation, a jury finally decided Alexis Candelario Santana was to be sentenced to life in prison as punishment for “La Tómbola Massacre” – a tragedy that shook the island back in 2009 – and a total of 22 killings throughout his life.

It is a very sensitive matter that involves a lot of emotions, history, facts, and rights, none of which can be taken lightly. However, no matter what your views are on this issue, you have to admit this work right here is brilliant. Made by DDB Puerto Rico for Amnesty International, photography by James Reynolds.
